PUNCH CUT

PUNCH CUT

Punch cutting, which is used for various purposes in CNC machines and is a cutting style, is the name given to the hole drilling process. In short, it is the execution of various operations on sheet metals according to the specified order of the punches. CNC Punch cutting, which is an application used in many sectors, is generally used in the manufacturing industry such as electricity, machinery and spare parts, electronics, metal goods, automotive, accessories. Punch cuts are made in the form of 8 mm in black sheet metal, 6 mm in stainless steel sheet and 5 mm in aluminum alloy sheet product. In addition, precision cuts are prepared economically and quickly in drilling and forming processes on plate products such as plastic, copper and brass.
What is Punch Cut?
Punch cutting is a faster cutting method than other cutting types. Today, in the 21st century, it is one of the most preferred cutting types. The reason for this is that it has high part quality and low cost. Punch cutting machines are CNC machines that work with the punching logic. Punch cutting has surpassed other classical cuttings such as laser, plasma and water cutting. One of the reasons for this is that it is highly effective in cutting the desired shapes. The effect of this is that the CNC control is strengthened and includes more than one cutting tool. CNC Contract Punch is the situation where the machines in the inventory of the companies work with other factories for a certain fee. Especially in CNC contract punch cutting, these fees vary according to the wear of the machine and time.

How is Punch Cut Made?
While the mold part is fixed in punch cutting, the sheet metal part is movable. The sheet metal part moves on X, Y, known as two axes. It is transferred to the machines known as CNC numerical controlled machines with the help of a 2D CAD program drawn on the computer. It is the processing of sheet metal plates with the help of motors defined on machines with coding known as G coding. Generally 37 dkp sheet is used as standard in the markets. In addition, these sheets can be processed from dkp sheet to aluminum sheet with a thickness of 1 mm to 6 mm.

In general in the market, contract Punch cutting is simulated on the machine by the person responsible for the CNC Punch program, with the arrival of technical drawings or parts from the customers. Criteria such as whether it is suitable for CNC contract punch cuts, post-production, machinability and pricing are determined. This information is shared with the sales department and presented to customer information. The agreement is made with the approval of the customer. The products are passed to the production stage with or without material. If uninterrupted cutting is desired in the quality of your products, punch laser cutting can be considered. But if you consider the cost factor, CNC punch cutting is inevitable. Especially in CNC Contract Punch Cutting, 1 to 3 mm sheet metal sheets are cut at affordable costs. If a particularly well-formed structure is desired, CNC punch cutting is preferred. While laser cuts are made with thicker materials, their costs are quite high compared to CNC Punch Cuts. If CNC Punch Cutting is desired, almost all shapes can be made.

They are made with 36 stations and die set on the turret in the Cnc Machine. For this, you can request technical information from companies. In Contract Punch Cuts, different prices come out according to all facilities. These differences are due to the changes in the personnel, machine, program and existing patterns. Machines are one of the most important factors. While some machines make 250 strokes per minute, some machines go up to 1200 strokes. The impacts that affect the part output speed are also reflected in the hourly wage on the machine. It also affects the number of part speeds in the program prepared for the machine. If an inexperienced personnel makes a program, the processing speed of the machine slows down and the part comes out late. The materials to be cut in CNC Punch cutting are approximately 0.5 mm to 4 mm thick. If desired, it can be up to 6 mm thick. But this situation can force the machine.

The most preferred reason for CNC Punch cutting is the forming process. This process is connected to the station with special molds in the machine and can be done easily. Considering this shaped structure, cnc punch starts from the air louver and goes to many special molds. Production lead times are the shortest. Of course, it can also differ according to the intensity of production. The more stations, the faster the license plate programming. This leads to a shortening of the cutting time. These stations are in the form of a-b-c-d. And the most preferred and used is the (C) station. In CNC contract cutting machines, the body can be C or D. This ensures the construction of the machine. The body of CNC Punch machines has a cast structure. The trunk is aged with the aging frequency. This minimizes the deformations that will occur over time. Hydraulic units, on the other hand, are German HD units, but may differ as electronic panasonic or fanuc. If a shaped structure is considered and aluminum will be cut in a punch cutting machine, diesel oil should be applied to the aluminum material. Thus, mold shrinkage is prevented.

If the contract cutting machine is to be used in contract work, it is very important that the machine is new, not worn and clean. Being a new Contract Cutting Machine is a factor that affects the delay of malfunctions and damages. The newness of the CNC Punch Machine will also minimize the axial wear and the cutting slips caused by the precision of the spindle will be minimized.

Considering the cost factor, CNC Punch Cutting can be preferred. Because while the mold cost is less, efficient results can be obtained in a short time. In addition, it is possible to process wide sheet plates. If there are too many holes in the material and product to be cut, laser cutting does not give good results. Punch cut should be preferred. It also offers the opportunity to shape thin sheets with the help of molds with special forms. The most important feature is that it provides flexibility with its cord pattern. In short, it gives very good results at a low cost. It is used for cutting sheet metal at affordable costs. If you prefer to obtain both quality and economic results; Considering that, CNC punch cutting and Contract Punch cutting are inevitable choices.
